Did A-Reece aim shots at Cassper Nyovest or Nasty C?

Before we dive into this article, I need all the A-Reece haters to kindly stop reading because yes, this is an A-Reece article and we will be dissecting his new latest song, “Achilles”, which was released on Wednesday 31 May 2023.

A-Reece aims shots at Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C

Now I must say that this was definitely an unexpected drop from A-Reece, and he has been on a crazy run lately with those, so shout out to him.

Before we fully get started, I think it is worth mentioning that “Achilles” was a Greek hero and warrior in the Greek army during the Trojan War and was considered the strongest.

So I guess it is safe to assume what type of time A-Reece was on with the song title like that, I mean he was talking his stuff on this one again.

Now in the song, A-Reece first went on to say;

I’m just connectin’ flights to the final destination but
This calls for a celebration
I’m still the illest nigga in the cut like infected lacerations
When I’m in album mode I’m really nothin’ to play with
This new god flow is nothin’ like the Son of David
I’m back, but as Leonardo reincarnated
No, not the guy who can act but a renaissance polymath, yeah
I write lyrics the way he paints but I don’t need hands
This rap style is why your favourite rapper had to rebrand
This isn’t for your entertainment, fuck your feedback
And like a Harlem diplomat, I really mean that
Thе sound is somethin’ they could nevеr see past
The free base flow is makin’ my fanbase relapse

So with the lines, A-Reece touched a lot of things.

Firstly, he is that guy in the game and when he is in album mode, dudes cannot really touch him, mostly because he takes his lyricism to another level.

Now in regards to the ‘Son of David’ line, I’m not sure if A-Reece was addressing Nasty C considering that his name is David, as well as him also having a song titled “God Flow”, or it could be directed at Cassper Nyovest who is soon releasing a new rap album titled “Solomon”, who is the son of David in the bible, but you guys can make your own conclusions off of that.

Listen to ‘God Flow’ by Nasty C below;

A-Reece also spoke on how he is back and if we are being honest, he never left in the first place, I guess the more lyrical A-Reece is making a comeback but as Leonardo da Vinci reincarnated making the comparison of them both using their hands to create art, as Leonardo paints whereas A-Reece writes, but he can take it a step further by not using his hand and just spit from the Dome like he used to back during ‘The Wrecking Crew’ days when he was still with Flvme who actually influenced him into freestyling.

A-Reece also made reference to his rap style, influencing rappers to rebrand.

I can come up with a few artists who changed their style of rap, their overall sound, and even their images as soon as A-Reece switched up his rap style.

So to me, it is a blank statement considering that it could apply to anyone, but anyways A-Reece went on to say;

Let me recap
I’m still the best, you hate to see that
Fuck ’em, I got fish to fry bigger than a Sea bass
They say he’s got an accent when he raps, it sounds like he’s American
He should be rappin’ in his home language
He ain’t African-American, he’s African
He should be sayin’ ‘class’ instead of class, it keeps happenin’
But all I hear is babblin’
Who give a fuck if I spit and it’s non-rhotic
Shouldn’t it be enough if an African wrote it?
I mean, who gives a fuck about phonetic differences?
All I know is I’m killin’ shit when it comes to the penmanship, yeah
It ain’t gibberish at least
I mean, this English that we speak is just a bunch of German, Latin and Greek

Now in the above lines we have A-Reece still proclaiming to be the best as he has done so for a while now and besides Lucasraps, I haven’t seen anyone else contest him on that.

A-Reece also addresses the American wannabe claims that people like Nota Baloyi have criticized him for, saying that he should rap more in his home language to sound more South African which is neither here nor there.

I’m on the side of as long as the music sounds good, it doesn’t really matter what language he raps in, well I don’t think so, and that is what A-Reece is trying to express because when it all comes down to it, he is African and the language he raps in doesn’t determine where he comes from or who he is.

A-Reece still continued by saying;

Man, what’s with the long faces? You should be happy I made it
Look at the influence that I have on this generation
Why do I get the feelin’ I’m underappreciated?
I’m gettin’ impatient
Give me my flowers or I’ma take ’em
Break inside your conservatory, leave it desecrated, yeah
Take away your crown and the throne with all of its emerald stones
Diamonds, rubies and gold
Killin’ your soldiers, I’m in your chambers burnin’ the scrolls
Destroyin’ everythin’ you own, I’m like Achilles in Troy
They can’t fuck with the boy
P2 comin soon, it’s time to silence the noise

Now with the above lines, A-Reece wasn’t holding back. I mean he makes reference to the doubters and haters having long faces even though he made it.

A black child or individual becoming successful in this current landscape is something to commend, I mean it is true about the influential impact A-Reece has had on this generation, and for people to hate on that, only speaks to your character.

A-Reece also spoke about feeling underappreciated and that he should be getting his flowers, and I’m here to give A-Reece his flowers, I mean he is really that guy he thinks he is, so shout to him once again.

Now with A-Reece wanting his flowers, he is also coming for the throne and the crown with all of its jewels willing to kill for it and destroy everything in his path.

So I appreciate A-Reece truly taking a stance on being the best in the game right now, and for anyone still doubting, we still have “Paradise 2” dropping later this year to silence all the noise, so I can’t wait.

Now in closing, A-Reece said;

Wanted to drop it in July to fuck you up even more
But I know Jody got you first, I gotta go on this tour

So clearly, the album has already been completed or at least close to completion considering that he wanted to release it in July of this year, but since we have Jay Jody dropping soon, A-Reece is willing to allow his big brother to release first and he will come later this year with “Paradise 2”.

So it is definitely a big year for the ‘Revenge Club Records’ boys, best believe they are making the most out of it.

And with all that said, let me know your thoughts on this. Are you feeling this new song from A-Reece? And what was your favorite line or lines from this song?
