{"id":45,"date":"2023-07-03T15:47:01","date_gmt":"2023-07-03T12:47:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/?p=45"},"modified":"2023-07-03T15:51:11","modified_gmt":"2023-07-03T12:51:11","slug":"a-reece-still-best-rapper-africa-hes-going-global","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/a-reece-still-best-rapper-africa-hes-going-global\/","title":{"rendered":"A-Reece is still the best rapper in Africa and he&#8217;s going global"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>So a couple of weeks ago, <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/A-Reece\" target=\"_blank\">A-Reece<\/a><\/strong> made his way to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0PSWrEWRmVk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hustlers Corner to have an interview<\/a><\/strong> with <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/djsbu\" target=\"_blank\">DJ Sbu<\/a><\/strong>, which is something I wasn&#8217;t expecting at all.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"520\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/A-Reece-and-DJ-Sbu-interview.jpg\" alt=\"A-Reece and DJ Sbu during the Hustlers Corner interview\" class=\"wp-image-50\" title=\"A-Reece and DJ Sbu during the Hustlers Corner interview\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/A-Reece-and-DJ-Sbu-interview.jpg 520w, https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/A-Reece-and-DJ-Sbu-interview-300x208.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">A-Reece and DJ Sbu during the Hustlers Corner interview.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The two sat down and they discussed a range of topics starting from A-Reece&#8217;s come-up before and after Ambitiouz Entertainment, his struggles being an independent artist, his relationship with his older brother, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/music.apple.com\/za\/artist\/jay-jody\/1548944957\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jay Jody<\/a><\/strong>, how his parents supported him pursuing his music career, how he prefers to be a homebody but loves to go out to perform for his fans and a few other topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now there were other topics that I found to be of significance and are worthy of breaking down a bit more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you guys remember that just last year, A-Reece came out with a tweet where he declared himself to be the best rapper in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I\u2019M THE BEST RAPPER IN AFRICA.<\/p>&mdash; A-REECE. (@reece_youngking) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/reece_youngking\/status\/1524306908047458304?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">May 11, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This tweet alone caused a bit of a frenzy on Twitter, even causing Lucasraps to come out with a song of his own disputing A-Reece&#8217;s claim but we all know how that turned out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyways, A-Reece is sticking to his claim and standing by what he said, something that I can&#8217;t help but admire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The way I see it, hip hop is a competitive sport and if you don&#8217;t believe that you&#8217;re the best, how do you expect other people to believe you as well?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So despite A-Reece being as young as he is, he has managed to prove himself among the best of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And something else that he spoke about in the interview was his going global in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the longest time, slimes have been wanting A-Reece to go international so that the rest of the world can understand and experience how dope this dude is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If we are being honest and critical, that is the one thing that he hasn&#8217;t achieved yet, the fact that he hasn&#8217;t gone global or international.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I mean it is cool saying that A-Reece got Sway to come to South Africa just for him when in reality it was actually for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.castlelite.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Castle Lite Unlocks<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I think it would be even cooler if A-Reece actually went to the United States of America and linked up with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sway_Calloway\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sway<\/a><\/strong> to give a fire freestyle, not even that, just to network with others abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I mean A-Reece has already worked with artists like <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Joey_Fatts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Joey Fatts<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/quentin_miller\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Quentin Miller<\/a><\/strong>, as well as getting a beat from the world-renowned producer, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/blackmetaphor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Black Metaphor<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also being said that A-Reece has got something in the works with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dreamville.com\/artist\/cozz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cozz<\/a><\/strong> from Dreamville, so I&#8217;m sure that if he went abroad, he would be able to connect with a lot more artists but I guess only time will tell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, you guys let me know your thoughts on this, are you excited for A-Reece finally wanting to go global with his career?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So a couple of weeks ago, A-Reece made his way to the Hustlers&#46;&#46;&#46;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":50,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[4,5],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"jetpack_featured_media_url":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/A-Reece-and-DJ-Sbu-interview.jpg","jetpack_likes_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/45"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=45"}],"version-history":[{"count":12,"href":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/45\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":58,"href":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/45\/revisions\/58"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/50"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=45"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=45"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=45"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
