\ud83d\udcf2 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RJzxsXWGLw\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/RJzxsXWGLw<\/a><\/p>&mdash; HYPE MAGAZINE (@HypeMagazineSA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HypeMagazineSA\/status\/1620061648219443200?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">January 30, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We are getting a deep dive into their personal lives and insight into how the industry works as well as their achievements and struggles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the cast features a host of artists ranging from the North God himself, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Da_L.E.S\" target=\"_blank\">Da L.E.S<\/a>, we also have <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yanga_Chief\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Yanga Chief<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gigi_Lamayne\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gigi Lamayne<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/DJ_Speedsta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DJ Speedsta<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fifi_Cooper\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fifi Cooper<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shane_Eagle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shane Eagle<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/hoodpharmacist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">J Molley<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/moneybadooworld\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Money Badoo<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Love_%26_Hip_Hop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Love and Hip Hop<\/a>, the reality TV show has a negative stigma surrounding it due to it representing black people and the hip-hop culture in a bad way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, Love and Hip-Hop&#8217;s views and engagements are centered are drama and toxicity which really isn&#8217;t for the empowerment or progression of black culture, or at least that is how I perceive it but I could be wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it has also been said that artists and rappers that take part in this show are at the tail end of their music careers, which is why they need a show like this to keep them relevant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is actually my problem with Shane Eagle taking part in a show like this because I honestly don&#8217;t believe he is at the tail end of his career, I mean if anything, he is actually at his prime.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Shane-Eagle-and-Nicole-Swartz.jpg\" alt=\"Shane Eagle and his girlfriend, Nicole Swartz\" class=\"wp-image-2501\" title=\"Shane Eagle and his girlfriend, Nicole Swartz\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Shane-Eagle-and-Nicole-Swartz.jpg 500w, https:\/\/nsfas.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Shane-Eagle-and-Nicole-Swartz-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Shane Eagle and his girlfriend, Nicole Swartz.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Now granted, Shane Eagle did not have the best year in 2022 despite dropping his album \u201c<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/music.apple.com\/za\/album\/green\/1611169748\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Green<\/a><\/strong>\u201d, but I don&#8217;t think this is the right move for his career at this point in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I mean Shane Eagle came out with the following tweet a couple of weeks back saying;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Nobody can fuck with me this year<\/p>&mdash; Eagle (@Shane_Eagle) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Shane_Eagle\/status\/1610662857246650369?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">January 4, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now if this is what he meant, then it isn&#8217;t very pleasant to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I mean as I said previously, Shane Eagle is currently in his prime. He has fans eagerly waiting on him to drop new music and live up to expectations they know he can reach, but joining Love and Hip Hop seemingly takes away from that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We all know that Shane Eagle is a big fan of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/J._Cole\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">J. Cole<\/a><\/strong> and in the past, we have had Cole speak on how artists who join Love and Hip Hop have pretty much fallen off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the song \u201c<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1985_(J._Cole_song)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1985<\/a><\/strong>\u201d where J. Cole was addressing<strong> <\/strong>SoundCloud rappers like <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lil_Pump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lil Pump<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Smokepurpp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Smokepurpp<\/a><\/strong>, the North Carolina native rapped;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>To any amateur niggas that wanna get rocked. Just remember what I told you when your sh!t flop. In five years you gon&#8217; be on Love &amp; Hip-Hop, n!gga.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Listen to \u201c<strong>1985<\/strong>\u201d by J. Cole - 1985 (Lyrics)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/X-Oa60g7TyI?feature=oembed&#038;wmode=opaque\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore it is crazy to think that Shane Eagle would move in this direction knowing that his very own idol condemned a move like this, but I guess he doesn&#8217;t mind hurting his image at this point in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honestly, I just took it up to Shane Eagle not being managed well, I mean he is currently under his own label \u201c<strong>Eagle Entertainment<\/strong>\u201d where it&#8217;s been rumoured that his girlfriend, Nicole Swartz, is managing him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now if that is the case, it would make sense as to why he is participating in a show like this and it needs to be said that she is part of the cast as well, so maybe she could have influenced Shane Eagle to do the show even though he might have not wanted to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Either way, it is not a good look and I&#8217;m sure if he was still being managed by \u201c<strong>Stay Low<\/strong>\u201d, a move like this would have never taken place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A couple of months back we had Priddy Ugly making it clear that he would not be showcasing his private life on television, he went on to say;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A few people have asked, so I\u2019d just like to make it clear. With numerous offers over the years, all have been declined.
